The Amen Heresy by W.H. Muhlenfeld

Ex-Priest, Jack Fisher, is led to Jerusalem after he receives a strange package from his colleague Dr. Dvir Gottlieb. Inside the package is a medallion with some sort of code on it. Unsure of what it is that Gottlieb is trying to tell him, he decides to make his way to Israel.

After arriving to Israel, Jack becomes acquainted with a Palestinian boy, Sami, that Gottlieb has prepared to meet Jack. Sami then explains the meeting time and place of the code on the medallion, which Sami has also received. Together they try to decipher the rest of the code on both medallions, unbeknown to them they are being watched from several angles.

Jack finds himself in a full blown mystery after a murder, a kidnapping, the introduction to a "lioness" (Ariel) , and a beating to Sami. In the fight to survive, Jack must help Khalid, a Neurotic Egyptian, find the missing Copper Scroll from the Dead Sea Scrolls. It seems Khalid has found the work and research of Dr. Dvir Gottlieb and Jack Fisher very intriguing, only Gottlieb was onto something much more serious in his findings that he wasn't able to share with Jack as of yet.

Jack, Ariel, and Sami end up in Egypt trying to find the missing scrolls while trying to outwit their followers and stay alive. Follow their story through Israel to Mt. Sinai.

Muhlenfeld proved his research in The Amen Heresy. It was an informative read, though a little slow getting into the action. Once Muhlenfeld hit the excitement, it held my attention wanting to know what happened next. I especially loved Jack Fisher, who had so much turmoil in his own mind!

What Is Review Book Swap?

A review book swap is for people who like to read books and write a review, or their thoughts about the book. When they are finished with the book, it gets swapped to another person waitng to read that particular book. They will also be able to choose the books that they want to read from a list of books and when it's available, it will be mailed to them.

FAQ's

Where do the books come from?

From anyone that wants to swap a book. A book cover and synopsis gets submitted and added to the list of books available for review, and once someone requests a book, that book will then be mailed to them.

What if someone has a book I want to read?

Add a comment under the book up for review and you will be added to the waiting list. Once the book is available and you're up, you will receive an email letting you know it's on its way.

How do I participate in Review Book Swap?

Click on the Sign Up tab in the menu above and fill out the form. Then just simply choose your book.

Do I have to have my own website or blog?

No. If you don't have a website or blog to post your review, you may use one of mine and post as a guest reviewer. Depending on the genre read, I will let you know which blog you will be using :).

How long do I get to read the book?

One week. I may allow for two weeks at the most, as some things come up beyond our control. Please just be courteous to the next person waiting to read that book. If you can't have it read in two weeks, please send email to inquire who is next on the list so you can get it in the mail.

What do I do when I'm done reading a book?

Send an email to bkwalkerbooks@comcast.net and let me know you've finished it, along with a link to where you posted your review, and then I will send you the mailing address for the person next on the list to read that book.

Who pays for shipping?

You do. This is a voluntary program and I can't afford to pay for everyone to ship their books. If you want to participate you agree to pay for shipping, Each person who signs up has agreed and will ship books to each other. If someone ships you a book, it's only fair you ship one to someone else. This is like a pay it forward program :).

Do you ship International?

No. If someone who is International wants to participate, they agree to pay their own shipping. This means that they must pay for the shipping prior to the book being sent to them. This can be done via Paypal or other form agreed upon by the person sending the book.

What if I have a book and there is nobody else wanting to read it?

Hold on to it. Someone may still want to read it in the future. If you are not comfortable holding it, you may send the book to BK Walker Books, PO Box 511, Howard, PA 16841. Just drop an email to let me know it's on its way.

How long do we hold a book after reading it, when there is no waiting list?

One month. If after a month that particular book has not been requested, then it's time to rotate it out. You may then, as the holder of the book do as you wish with it. Donate it to local library, school, or if it's in good enough shape, use it for a giveaway on your blog. *You must send me an email letting me know it's been a month, so I know to take it out of the list for swapping.
